The Falmouth Democratic Town Committee is pleased to award its annual Thelma Goldstein Civic Engagement Scholarship to Falmouth High School graduating senior Jackson Falcone.

Mr. Falcone is the National Honors Society Vice President, a peer mentor,  a tutor for the English as a Second Language program, and involved in several athletics programs.  He plans to attend Vassar College where he will study environmental engineering.

“We had more applicants than ever this year, and every one of them is a star,” said Zelda MacGregor, Chair of the Thelma Goldstein Scholarship committee.  “Jackson stood out not only for his academic achievements and goals for the future, but also for his volunteerism.”

The Thelma Goldstein Scholarship honors the memory of one of Falmouth’s most influential and inspirational Democrats. The scholarship has been awarded since 2013 to a Falmouth High School graduate who has been accepted at a two- or four-year college or university with demonstrated civic engagement and commitment to public service, financial need, and academic achievement.
