Dear Falmouth Dems,
Surf’s Up Democrats! What a Blue Wave Night!
The tide came in strong, and we’re thrilled to report that ALL of our Team Massachusetts candidates rode the Blue Wave to victory!
From Senator Ed Markey, Congressman Bill Keating, and Governor Maura Healey at the top of the ticket, all the way down the ballot, Democrats delivered across the Commonwealth. State Senator Dylan Fernandes earned a well-deserved second term, and Dan Gessen was victorious in his race for County Commissioner.
And in a race that kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the wee hours of the morning, Jack Richardson surfed the wave to victory, flipping the 3rd Barnstable District State Representative seat officially BLUE!
We also congratulate our unopposed incumbents on their victories. Representative Thomas Moakley and Barnstable, Dukes & Nantucket District Attorney Rob Galibois both earned second terms and will continue their outstanding service to our communities.
Congratulations to all of our exceptional candidates for running energetic, inspiring, and exemplary campaigns. You can view the election results here:https://www.falmouthma.gov/m/newsflash/home/detail/1957
Today, however, our deepest gratitude goes to the magnificent FDTC volunteers who helped create this blue tsunami. Whether you made phone calls, knocked on doors, donated, staffed headquarters, held signs, or simply shared your enthusiasm and encouragement, you made this happen! Every conversation, every shift, and every mile walked helped carry our candidates over the finish line.
So when’s the victory party?
We’re glad you asked! Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 10, from 5:00–8:00 PM at Bucatino’s Restaurant. An invitation will be heading your way shortly.
A little housekeeping:
Beginning today, we’ll start closing down our Falmouth Dems Headquarters at 366 Main Street, Falmouth. Stop by at noon for a volunteer group photo as we celebrate an unforgettable campaign season.
Please hold onto your lawn signs for the 2028 re-election campaigns, or drop them off at headquarters no later than Thursday, November 5 at 3:00 PM.
The wave may have reached shore, but the work of building a stronger community continues. Today, though, let’s take a moment to celebrate an incredible victory and the volunteers who made it possible.
Onward,
Rosemary Dreger Carey, FDTC Chair
