Danielle Allen will speak at the October 18,  7PM FDTC monthly meeting about her proposal for a “Mass Dems Commission for a Healthy Democracy”. Ms. Allen is the Chair of the Mass Dems Commission on Healthy Democracy, author, and James Bryant Conant University Professor and director of the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University.

Ms. Allen writes frequently for the Washington Post about democracy renovation – (a) reconnecting people to civic service, civic collaboration, civic engagement, and their civic power and responsibility; and (b) reforming our political institutions and civic infrastructure so that people have the tools they need to be responsible and effective citizens — and politicians have the incentives they need to deliver responsive and accountable representation.
