The Falmouth Democratic Town Committee will host a timely and informative panel discussion about housing affordability on Cape Cod, featuring Catherine Clark, of the Housing Assistance of Cape Cod and Dan Gessen, Falmouth’s representative to the Assembly of Delegates. The program will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Gus Canty Center, 790 Main Street, Falmouth, and via Zoom.

The mission of Housing Assistance of Cape Cod is to build a vibrant year-round community where everyone has a stable place to call home. As Vice President of Development, Catherine Clark, who grew up on Cape Cod, brings more than a decade of non-profit leadership experience to her role. Ms. Clark will discuss housing through the lens of empowering individuals, fostering community connections, avoiding stigmas and increasing affordable housing opportunities.

Dan Gessen serves as Deputy Speaker at the Barnstable Assembly of Delegates, working to build coalitions and lead Cape Cod’s regional government. Born and raised in Falmouth, he graduated from Falmouth High in 2018; earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by a Master’s Degree in Business Analytics from the Isenberg School of Management. He was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the Massachusetts National Guard and as Infantry Platoon leader in the Army National Guard, led soldiers in Iraq and Syria.
