State Tax Relief for Businesses 

  • The Department of Revenue will waive any late-file or late-pay penalties for returns and payment due for meals and room occupancy taxes between March 20 and May 31, 2020

Changes to Healthcare Licensing

  • Qualifying physicians who’ve retired within a year may reactivate their licenses
  • Physician licenses that would otherwise be up for renewal will be extended for 90 days after the end of the public health emergency
  • Qualifying physicians in other state may obtain emergency licenses in MA to practice in person or through telemedicine
  • Access to telehealth services across state lines will be expanded

Changes to RMV Procedures

  • Licenses, permits, and IDs expiring between March 1st and April 30th will be given a 60-day extension
  • All non-commercial vehicle inspection stickers expiring on March 31st must be inspected by May 31st. All non-commercial vehicle inspection stickers expiring on April 31st must be inspected by June 30th
